BIO

Gareth trained at Cambridge University and Bart’s & the London and was awarded a PhD at King’s College London. He now works as the Clinical Lead for Gastroenterology at the Royal London Hospital and is a core member of its IBD team. In 2018 he co-founded Ampersand Health and developed MyIBD Care with Bu Hayee from Kings and Nader Alaghband with a goal to make life easier for patients with IBD. His interests include the role of digital therapeutics, clinical trials in IBD, the role of the microbiota and probiotics and the use of technology in IBD OPD. Gareth sits on the British Society of Gastroenterology IBD committee, co-authored the current UK guidelines and has a number of publications in the field of IBS and IBD.
